Graphic Design - II Major Project / Creation of billboards

Hello!
Today I am going to show you process of billboards creations.  Firstly, I did not use my own pictures to design them. Tutor Zoe suggested me that I should add more sex to advert to encourage costumers to buy new mineral water.  So I have found some good enough pics to paste into my project, they were not copyright free, but after discussion with my Tutor Sam, and his accept them I will buy them. Unfortunately, after discussion with him I decided to take my own pics. Below you can find my first version of billboards idea and developing it by added my own pictures.

Those pics I used to create my 1st version:

I opened new document in photoshop and I added my first pics is a women holding a bottle.
First thing which I had to do was cut off a currant bottle and paste my bottle of Higlinder water.
I used quick mask mode to outline the bottle and fingers. I am not going to explain everything step by step exactly because I do not have to acknowledge my digital skills in Adobe software.

I used a various range of tools available in Photoshop.  The main of them are:
- Spot healing brush tool
- Healing brash tool
- Magic wand tool
- Quick mask mode
- Pen tool

Basic ones:
- Rectangle tool
- Rectangular marquee tool
- Quick selection tool

After spend a few hrs with creating, using tools, experimental with different spaces and other objects below you can see my final outcome those three images become huge billboards.

After shown my outcomes to my tutors, I decided to use my own pics in developing idea. So I developed my huge billboards by paste in there my own models and bottle of water.

It was good opportunity to practice my photography skills in the photography studio.
Below you can see some 'raw' images which I took in studio without my interference and after that.

Before:

I was needed a bit time to choose the best pics to my adverts. I have chosen three the most common and I pasted them into my billboards documents. After spend another few hrs I finished my billboards and those projects are my final outcomes:

1st one is my favourite billboard, I really like the black background with my friend Bartek as a model. This advert has special information in background. This product is for people who are successful in job career.

2nd one in also very eye catcher. On this billboard we see friends together, there is a friendship reaction between them. The advert has tagline 'refresh your friendship', this is simply and clearly message to receiver of advert.

On the last one I left same background as on 2nd billboard, because I have found very difficult cutting off background. I decided to work on same background like on original image. Here the message to receivers is also very simple - take my water to the gym, because It contain many helpful minerals to correctly works of the body during a great effort.

I like my final outcomes, They look like from professional advertising campaign.

  1. These are high quality examples of your process and research and demonstrates your commitment to this project. I think your use of your own models is really important - it demonstrates your ability as a photographer (and helps improve your practise), but also means that you get to DIRECT the whole of your output. It means that you are in control of what you create at each part of the process and that is really important. You are also effective with your choice of taglines and the tradition that fits into with this kind of product, so that is good contextualisation.
